Trypto: why are there so many vaguely unsettling arrangements of stairs at UCI?
Lani Kai: I have no idea
Trypto: perhaps they are metaphors for higher education
Trypto: the path may be twisty and treacherous, but eventually you will reach the floor that has the ladder the roof but you won't be able to get to the roof because the hatch is locked
Lani Kai: yeah, they always say, "NO ROOF ACCESS"
Trypto: so you have to jump off the second highest floor instead, unable to do anything right, even the last act of your life
